My work focuses on two core principles: The elevation of materials and the evocation of history. Many of my pieces draw inspiration from preserved artifacts, such as you might see behind museum glass. With a chef knife, every texture, damascus pattern, and patina is a chance to connect with millenia of humanity simply by feeding yourself every day. Through meticulous utility standards and artistry it is my goal as a maker to bring people the pieces that make those connections possible.
